Italian Beef Stew

Wine can be added in this recipe to make it even more delicious.

Ingredients Of the Recipe:

2 pounds of chopped stew meat, 1 cup of flour,  1 cup of water or enough to cover vegetables, 1/2 cup of dry red wine or a little more depending on taste, 2 15oz cans of diced tomatoes, 2 15oz cans of tomato sauce, 2 green bell pepper cut in large chunks, 5 carrots cut in shape of circles, 1 large zucchini sliced into circles, 1/2 pound of fresh green beans, 4 stalks of celery sliced in small pieces, 5 potatoes cut into pieces, 4 cloves of crushed garlic, 2 onions sliced and cut in half, 2 tablespoons of dried oregano, 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoons fresh ground black pepper, 1 tablespoons salt.

Method Of Preparation:

First remove the fat off the meat. Drudge the meat in flour and remove any excess flour. Keep it in refrigerator until it is ready for use. Cut and mix all the vegetables well. Brown the meat in oil but make sure it doesn’t stick to the pan. Add salt, pepper, oregano and garlic and stir well. Add some wine and cook  gently for 10 minutes and keep stirring. Add vegetables and stir gently. Add tomato and tomato sauce. Add water so as to cover the vegetables and stir well.  Cover and cook gently for one and a half hours.
