Italian Bread Wedges Recipe

Ingredients of the Recipe:
1. 3 teaspoons active dry yeast
2. 1 cup warm water at 110 degrees F
3. 1 teaspoon sugar
4. 2 tablespoons canola oil
5. 1 teaspoon salt
6. 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Toppings:
1. 1/3 cup fat-free Italian salad dressing
2. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3. 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
4. 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
5. Dash pepper
6. 1 cup shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese
7. 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Method of Preparation:
1. Dissolve yeast in 1/4 cup warm water in a mixing bowl. Add sugar and let the mixture stand for 5 minutes. Add oil, salt, remaining water and 2 cups of flour and beat the mixture until smooth.
2. Stir in with enough flour remaining to form a soft dough. Place it on a floured surface and knead it until it becomes smooth and elastic.
3. Place in a greased bowl, turn it upside down once to grease top and the bottom. Cover it well and let it rise in a warm place until its volume doubles. Punch down the dough and place on a lightly floured surface.
4. Flatten the dough by patting. Let the dough rest for 5 minutes. Place into a greased 14 inch pizza pan and spread with Italian salad dressing.
5. Combine the garlic powder, oregano, thyme and pepper and sprinkle well over the dough and use mozzarella and parmesan cheese for the toppings. Bake at 450 degrees F for 15-20 minutes and serve warm.
