Italian Teething Cookies Recipe

Ingredients of the Recipe:
1. 3 eggs
2. 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
3. 2 cups all purpose flour
4. 1 teaspoon baking powder
Method of Preparation:
1. Beat the eggs and sugar in a bowl with an electric mixer at high speed. Mix it well until the mixture becomes thick and pale.
2. Mix the flour and baking powder together. Add the flour to the egg mixture slowly and stir. If the dough remains sticky add more flour.
3. Flour the surface lightly and roll the dough to form long logs of diameter 1 1/2 inches. They can be as long as the cookie sheet itself. Cover the logs with a cloth and let them remain outside overnight.
4. Heat up the oven to 375 degrees F. Take the rolls off the cookie sheets and place them on a floured surface. Cut the strands into pieces 1 1/2 inch in length.
5. Put them back on the baking sheets and bake for 20 minutes in the oven. When the cookies turn light brown, remove the cookies from the baking sheets and cool on wire racks.
