Semolina Cake Recipe

Ingredients
All purpose flour (1c), semolina flour (1/4c), egg separated (10), white sugar (3/4c), baking powder (1tsp), butter (1 1/2c), vanilla extract (2tsp), orange juice (1/2c), grated orange zest (2tbsp), brandy (2tbsp), almond finely chopped (2/3c), almond coarsely chopped (2/3c), sliced almonds (1/2c), brandy, optional (1tbsp).
Method of preparation:-
First heat the oven to 375 degrees F. Take a baking pan, grease it and flour it. Mix flour, semolina flour and baking powder in a bowl and keep it aside. Take a bowl, beat butter and sugar until gets light and fluffy. Add egg yolk in it one at a time. Beat it well and then add orange zest, orange juice, brandy and vanilla extract in it. Now take a bowl, beat egg white in it. Mix 1/3 of egg white in butter and egg yolk mixture. Now mix this in 1/3of flour mixture. Add the remaining egg whites alternately with flour. Mix it thoroughly until it gets combined. Mix coarsely and fined chopped almonds in it and then pour the batter into the baking pan and sprinkle the sliced almonds over it. Bake it in preheated oven for about 30 minutes. Bake it until knife inserted comes out clean. Take off the cake from the oven and sprinkle with tablespoon of brandy, if desired. Allow to cool completely before serving.
