Sweet Fried Pastry Recipe

Ingredients
1. Flour (1c)
2. sugar (1tbsp)
3. white wine (1/4c)
4. vegetable oil (for frying)
5. soft unsalted butter (1tbsp)
6. salt (1/4tsp)
7. confectioner’s sugar (for sprinkling)

Method of preparation:-
1. Take a large bowl, put flour in it and add soft butter, wine, salt and sugar in it. Mix the flour with your fingers and keep on adding more flour until it gets absorbed to form dough. Knead it until it gets smooth.

2. Roll the dough and cut it into strips of about 6 inches long and 1 ½ inch wide. Make a knot in the center of each strip.

3. Take a frying pan, heat oil in it for frying. Fry the knotted strips in hot oil until they turn golden in color. Then drain them on paper towel and dust the confectioner sugar or colored sugar on the top. Serve these pastries warm or cold.
