Linguine with Clams

This recipe tastes great with bread and salad.

Ingredients of the Recipe:

A 16 ounce packet of linguine pasta, 8 tablespoons unsalted butter, 1 white onion chopped, 8 ounces fresh mushrooms sliced, 4 cloves garlic pressed, 1 cup dry white wine, 4 6.5 ounce cans of chopped clams drained and rinsed with juices intact, 2 tablespoons sour cream, freshly ground black pepper and 1/4 cup chopped flat leaf parsley.

Method of Preparation:

Boil lightly salted water in a pot. Add pasta to the water and cook 10 minutes. Drain the water and put the pasta aside. Over medium-high heat melt some butter in a pan. Add onions, mushrooms and garlic in the pan and saute until soft. Add the wine and boil gently for 10 minutes. Reduce the heat if the need be. Add the clams, reserved clam juice, sour cream, pepper and parsley and stir. Boil gently for 20 minutes. Mix with linguine and serve.
